Monkey Video Chat Safety & Guidelines

Last Updated: August 31, 2026

Live video chat with strangers should feel easy, interesting, and safe. This page is a plain-language summary of the rules everyone here agrees to, and of what we do to enforce them. It sits alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy — where this page and those documents differ, those documents govern.

1. Who Is Here

Our team checks every account as a real person before it can match, and moderation runs 24/7 to handle anything that breaks the rules. Risky content is blocked so you can chat safely online.

You control how much you share. There are no lengthy forms — add details only if you feel like it. You can look at other people's profiles before deciding whether to start anything.

2. What Is Not Allowed

You agree not to post, share, transmit, or engage in any conduct that involves:

  • Sexually explicit content — pornography, explicit sexual acts, or highly suggestive content.
  • Hate speech and discrimination — content that promotes violence, incites hatred, or discriminates against individuals or groups based on race, ethnic origin, religion, disability, age, nationality, veteran status, sexual orientation, or gender identity.
  • Bullying and harassment — harassing, bullying, threatening, doxxing (sharing private information), or repeatedly targeting any user against their will.
  • Violence and self-harm — depictions of gratuitous violence, promotion of dangerous organizations, or content that encourages, promotes, or provides instructions on self-harm or suicide.
  • Illegal activities and fraud — scams, fraudulent activities, unauthorized sale of goods or services, or promoting illegal acts.
  • Impersonation — impersonating other individuals, creating fake accounts, or misrepresenting your affiliation with a person or entity.
  • Technical abuse — using automated scripts, bots, or scrapers; reverse engineering Monkey Video Chat's source code; or interfering with the platform's security and performance.

3. Reporting and Blocking

  • Reporting. Logged-in users can report violating users, inappropriate behavior, or objectionable content by contacting our support team in the app or at help@monkeyvideochat.app. All reports go to our moderation team.
  • Blocking. Where blocking is available, you can block a user to stop further contact from them.
  • Hybrid moderation. We combine automated filtering tools with a dedicated human moderation team to proactively screen, identify, and block violating content.
  • Enforcement. We are committed to processing reports and verifying flagged content within a reasonable timeframe. Upon verification of a violation, penalties range from temporary suspension to permanent banning of the offending account, depending on the severity of the offense.

4. Age Requirement and Child Safety

Monkey Video Chat is strictly for adults. We operate a zero-tolerance policy on child sexual abuse material and on any sexualization of minors. Confirmed cases are removed, the account is permanently banned, and reports are made to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to applicable global law enforcement authorities.

For complete details on our safety mechanisms and reporting tools, please review our Child Safety Policy.

5. Staying Safe in a Chat

  • Do not share financial details, home address, workplace, or sign-in credentials with anyone you meet here.
  • Be cautious with anyone who moves fast to another platform, asks for money, or pressures you into anything on camera.
  • You can end any conversation at any time. Leaving a chat needs no explanation.
  • If something feels wrong, report it rather than handling it yourself.
